Current Girls Events


College Readiness
  • Date: Sunday, February 24, 2019; 3:00pm – 4:30pm
  • Dr. Becci Rollins, former head counselor at Carroll Senior High School, will work with the girls on what colleges look for in a great applicant. She will cover academic requirements, including classes to take (timely since the girls will finalize their schedule requests the last week in February); the importance of extracurricular activities and community involvement; and the how the college application process works.
  • Location: Trophy Club Country Club, Ballroom (entrance on the left side of the building)
  • Other: Bring your laptop and/or notebook to take notes. Wear your SASO t-shirt.
Self Defense


Self Defense (Capacity: 25; we have 17 seniors that are pre-registered)

  • Date: Monday, February 18, 2019; 9:00am – 12:00pm
  • Officers from Southlake Police Department will teach basic self-defense techniques
  • Location: DPS North Training Facility at 100 E. Dove Road in Southlake
  • Other: Wear workout clothes with a long-sleeved shirt. A signed participation waiver is required.


Grace Donation Station

SASO moms and daughters will serve by unloading donations, sorting, price tagging, and hanging clothes. We may test electronics as well as game systems.

Please remember to wear your SASO shirt, comfortable shoes, and please no cell phones while working event.

Odyssey Of The Mind

SASO moms and daughters will help with the Odyssey of the Mind Regional Tournament.

February AGAPE

SASO moms and daughters will assist with serving dinner to homeless families and clean up. Please arrive at West Broadway Baptist Church by 5:15. (we encourage you to leave Southlake by 4:30 at the latest). We will sign in and then a Broadway staff member will do a brief orientation.
If you have never served at AGAPE, please know it is an amazing and rewarding event.
